Thank you for considering me as your supervisor for this next step of your clinical journey!  I am delighted to support your growth process and oversee your development as you accrue hours towards licensure and further develop your identity as a professional counselor.

My training and past work experience includes therapeutic work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma (developmental, domestic violence, sexual assault, single incident experiences), difficulty with nervous system functioning (depression, anxiety, mood lability), relational challenges, suicidality and self-harm, and grief and loss. I have worked closely with teens and their primary caregivers as well as adults ranging in age from 18-70 years old.

During our work together, my goal is to establish an environment and relationship built on trust, support, honesty, and safety where we can collaboratively and nonjudgmentally explore occupational challenges, ethical dilemmas, client care, and the personal impact of this work.  The primary theories that influence my approach to supervision include Person-Centered, ACT, and trauma informed frameworks such as EMDR, DBT, and interpersonal neurobiology. I believe that knowledge of the intricate connections between brain and body are necessary not only for treating clients with extensive trauma backgrounds, but any person with a nervous system. My conceptualization of the human experience has been shaped by Bonnie Badenoch’s work, Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, and Dan Siegel’s Wheel of Awareness model. There’s a good chance that my hand model brain will make an appearance at some point in our supervision!

I am currently accepting Professional Counselor Associates who are working towards LPC licensure in the state of Oregon.
